United In Berlin

United Bike Co.‘s squad over in Europe decided to spend some time in Berlin, Germany exploring the spots and stacking clips. Here’s a dialed video that came from the trip that’s filled with some smooth lines, big grinds, plenty of style and more for you to start the new year off right!

United X Thomas Hooper

United teamed up with tattoo artist and BMX rider Thomas Hooper on a collaboration frame that features Thomas’ own design. This video gives you a little insight into the process of creating the design and what went into making it all. This is pretty rad! Check it!

United Bike Co. – Caveman Frame

2016 has been a year that has been good for breaking the mold when it comes to BMX frames. People were complaining that all BMX frames looked the same / were too similar, and now a few brands have stepped up. The other week we got a look at the Mike Dinello frame from Nowear, now we’re taking a look at the Mike Escamilla signature Caveman frame from United Bike Co.. This frame is what happens when you mix 2016 design with 1980’s innovation. The Caveman frame is made from full 4130 chromoly tubing with at 75-degree head tube angle, 69-degree seat tube angle, 11.8″ bottom bracket height, 8.8″ standover height and a 13.65″ chainstay length (slammed). This frame features an integrated head tube, top and down tube gussets, a down tube that wraps around the bottom bracket with a wishbone, Mid bottom bracket, a wider rear triangle with tapered seat and chain stays to fit 2.40″ tires, removable brake mounts, 5mm thick dropouts and, of course, the removable steel bash guar that attaches to the bottom of the wrap around down tube.

The Caveman frame comes in gloss metallic platinum blue only with your choice of pink or white bash guard, 20.8″ top tube length only, a weight of 6 lbs 1.7 oz. You can pre-order this frame through United Bike Co. dealers worldwide now, but expect the frame to become available around January 3rd next month.

United Bike Co. – Glow In the Dark Stealth Peg

United have decided to add a little flavor to their Stealth pegs. They now offer this plastic peg in a Glow in the Dark version! This peg starts out with a heat-treated chromoly inner with a replaceable and thicker low friction, abrasion resistant sleeve that will help you keep grinding longer. The peg is 100mm long with a 40mm diameter, weighs in at 6.42 oz each and come in 14mm with a 10mm (3/8″) adaptor.

The Stealth Peg is available in Glow in the Dark and Black for colors and a price tag of $17.99 for the peg and inner core, and $5.99 for replacement sleeves. Available through BMX shops and mail-orders worldwide.

Interbike 2016 – S&M, Fit Bike Co. & United

Keeping on moving! We made a stop over at the S&M Bikes, Fit Bike Co. and United Bike Co. booth to take a look at what they had on display. There was literally a ton of bikes to see, making it a little tricky to check out all the bikes, so we suggest you check out the 2017 Fit Bike Co. completes separately to make sure you can see them all.

Not the best photo since they are in the case, but United have some new pads coming to help keep you rolling without as much pain.

The Mike Escamilla Caveman frame from United! This frame has an integrated bash guard that looks real interesting. We’re curious to see how this one does since the bash guard has been tried a few different times in the past and has struggled to take off, but maybe this will do it finally?

S&M are working on something real interesting… She might not be very pretty (and pretty dirty from the outdoor demo), but this is something we’ll want to keep an eye on. If you’re looking for a MTB Dirt Jumper… This might just be for you.

So, that wraps up the S&M Bikes, Fit Bike Co. and United Bike Co. booth at Interbike 2016 booth. There’s definitely plenty to see from this one between the three brands.

Christian Rigal Talks “Still United”

It’s always crazy how much goes into a video part that you would never know just watching the video. Christian Rigal sat down to talk about some of the different aspects of United‘s latest DVD release, “Still United”! Hit play to get some insight, along with some bonus footage from the filming missions!
