Review: United Bike Co. – “Still United”

By now, there’s a good chance that you have seen United Bike Co.‘s new, long awaited, highly anticipated “Still United” DVD that was a two year long project that was finally released the other week. This project, with Peter Adam taking care of the filming and editing, features Jeff Kocsis, Christian Rigal, Geoff Slattery, Corey Martinez, Alex Valentino, Nathan Williams, along with some of their flow and AM squad from around the world. We got our hands on a copy the other day and have given the video a watch a few times over now, so we figured it would be a good time to give some of you sleeping on the video a little insight into just what “Still United” has to offer! The long awaited, highly anticipated “Still United” DVD from United Bike Co. has arrived. This video is hitting BMX shops and mail-orders that carry United worldwide now! With a line up like this, Peter Adam behind the lens and countless trips around the world, there’s no denying this is one video that will be worth every penny. Get on it!

“Still United” Premiere at Source Park

The highly anticipated United “Still United” DVD has arrived. Check out some highlights from the world premiere at Source Park that featured a session with the entire United team, along with a handful of the 4Down Distribution guys in this video from Freedom BMX!

“Last weekend, the world premiere of the spectacular still United-DVD took place in England. But before the video to the public was presented, it was the team of United Co. course not take to turn a few laps around the brand new source Park.

Particularly Corey Martinez turned it on full and took pretty much every corner of the huge main hall apart. But his teammates as Alex Valentino, Harry Mills Wakley and Christian Rigal clearly enjoyed on the countless opportunities that the source park has to offer. And so they let it be taking long extensively cycling all day.

It was supported by Ben Lewis, who still sat in the morning sting a new tattoo, which it did not prevent, well depart. But Fernando Laczko was condemned to watch, because he was plagued by severe back pain. Bummer! Luckily he had his video camera with him so that he could collect a few clips for our video. Thanks for that! What came off exactly in the historic walls of the promenade of Hastings, you are experiencing above.

The Art of the BMX Sprocket

It’s been a while since we’ve done one of these “The Art Of” pieces, so we figured it would be a good time to take a closer look at one part in particular that we’ve been thinking about lately, the BMX Sprocket. The other day we were bouncing around to a few different brands websites to see if there were any new products or anything else new to see, and we ended up staring at the sprockets. When you think about it, the sprocket is one of those things that can really be altered the most as far as aesthetics go. We’ve seen A LOT of sprockets in BMX’s history, so we decided to stick to sprockets that are currently available. Even with cutting it back to that, there’s still a ton of options available. Add in the different combos between the standard bolt drive, Spline drive, and socket drive, colors, versions with guards, etc. There’s a lot to take in. We bounced around and picked out some of our favorites from a number of brands, which you can check out below with a few words about each! Ready?

Here’s a little insight into the filming for the United Bike Co. DVD that is dropping soon, “Still United”, from Jeff Kocsis. This video gets some perspective on working on the project from Jeff, along with some behind the scenes footage. This is bound to be a killer BMX video, so get stoked.

United – “Still United” World Premiere Flyer

What are you doing March 5th? If you’re near Hastings, England, then we hope you’re planning to make your way to the new Source Park for the premiere of the “Still United” DVD (Trailer) from United Bike Co.! The team have been going all in for this video for quite some time now and we have no doubt that it’s going to be absolutely phenomenal! There will be a jam leading up to the premiere and you better believe the whole team will be there to ride with you, too. Get stoked!
