Last night the BMX Big Air contest went down at the X Games in Minneapolis. They had 8 of the wildest guys out on the ramp. Here’s the complete live replay giving you a look at all of the insane riding that went down from the tricks going down on the roll in to the huge jump and quarterpipe. Needless to say, this is worth checking out.

Last night the BMX vert finals went down at X Games Minneapolis last night, and as expected there were all of the heavy hitters on the deck ready to drop in and throw down. When the dust settled, Vince Byron ended up taking the top spot with Jamie Bestwick and Mykel Larrin taking 2nd and 3rd place. The X Games have started going off in Minneapolis. Here’s a look at how Dawid Godziek qualified first for BMX finals on Saturday during the BMX Dirt Qualifier. If you want to check out more from the contest, the complete live stream from the event can be found below! It’s safe to say we’ll see plenty more bangers on what looks like a real dialed dirt course. It’s been a few years since we’ve seen anything added beyond some straight jumps and a quarterpipe, so it looks like the guys who ride dirt on the regular are digging this setup more.

The 2019 X Games kicked off in Minneapolis last night, and it’s bound to be a couple of days of wild riding going down. When it comes to this contest, it’s not always easy for the average rider to make the trip to check out, and it’s definitely hard to imagine just what it’s like when you’re watching it on TV. Here’s a video that gives you a first person perspective of what it’s like riding the course whether it’s dropping in on the Mega Ramp or catching some laps in the bowl and on the dirt jumps during practice. Obviously the real thing is a whole different thing, and it’s pretty wild to see everything go down in person, but this is still pretty awesome. Take a look!

The X Games are going off in Minneapolis this week and things are already starting to heat up. Here’s a look at what went down during the first BMX street practice where some of the guys were able to get a feel for the setup. It’s safe to say if this kind of riding is going down now, it’s going to be a wild contest. Take a look!
“The dudes get a ton of practice, so today was pretty mellow in the sense that not everyone was riding (Garrett showed up at the end, Chad is nursing his ankle, and Bruno gets here tonight) and no one was really stressing much of anything. As many of you may have heard, the X Games wasn’t willing or able to do a Women’s BMX class. Over the past 5 or so years, the Women were able to get sessions on the course or do demos, but they’ve never been given their own actual contest. This year Nina Buitrago and the other ladies decided enough is enough and they weren’t willing to pay their way just to do another demo. The girls have decided to boycott the X Games this year to make their voice heard that they want their own contest. Brant Moore got on a live call with Nina to talk about everything going on, that helps explain how it all got to this point and where she hopes to see things go!
“Nina is an absolute legend in BMX who has shredded for years and earned the respect of the vast majority of BMX.
Recently she brought attention to the fact that Women’s freestyle BMX will be in the Olympics before it will have an official medalled event in X Games. With that, we had an opportunity to talk about her history with X Games as well as the history of women’s BMX with Xgames and her feelings about the whole situation and what it has become within BMX.
Rather than asking the exact same questions that have been beaten into the ground, we dug deeper and responded to a few of the different points brought up by some in hopes that considering both sides of the situation might help the conversation.
