It’s that time of the year again! Here’s the Salute to the 4th 2017 details!

If you have been checking the site for a few years, you know every year we put on at least one big event. The last few years we have been involved with the Salute To The 4th event on the 4th of July in Rochester, Minnesota! As part of that we put on a BMX and skate contest at the skatepark that’s always a damn good time. This year is no different! Here’s the full details!

Date: 4th of July 2017
Location: Silver Lake Skatepark – Rochester, Minnesota
7th St NE, Rochester, MN 55906

Cost: $10 – Day of the event
$5 – Pre-Register Online —

11 AM – Practice

The Back Bone Video – Mix Section

Back Bone BMX coming through with another section from “The Back Bone Video” for your viewing pleasure! This time around we get the mix section from a bunch of skateparks and street spots from Australia to Austin, Texas with a big mix of different riders. Colt Fake Wins X Games “Real BMX” 2017 Fan Favorite Vote

With 27% of the Fan vote, it looks like Colt Fake and Darryl Tocco have walked away with the Fan Favorite Vote for X Games “Real BMX” 2017! This is the second year in a row that these two have landed the top spot for the fan vote, which goes to show that what the Pro’s might think is the best video, might not be what everyone else is feeling! Nathan Williams, who won Real BMX this year, came in 2nd with 22% of the vote. Re-Watch Colt’s part and get the official word from the X Games below!

Mutiny Bikes – 2017 Comb Frame

The 2017 Comb frame is made from 100% 4130 Sanko Chromoly tubing with a 74.9-degree head tube angle, 71-degree seat tube angle, 11.8″ bottom bracket height, 9″ standover height and a 13.2″ (slammed) chainstay length. The frame features a 125mm tall, 420 Baked heat-treated, offset thickness, Integrated head tube, top and down tube gussets, an integrated seat post clamp with a horizontal cut for better clamping, a Mid bottom bracket, curved seat and chainstay bridges for 2.40″ tire clearance, removable brake mounts and 6mm thick dropouts with integrated chain tensioners.

The 2017 Comb frame is available in 20.8″, 21.1″ and 21.3″ top tube lengths, translucent orange for the only color and a weight of 5 lbs. flat (20.8″) with a price tag of $330.00.
