Brandon Begin Bike Check

Merritt have released a new Bike Check with Brandon Begin and his current Fit Begin setup that he’s running. The bike has some wear and tear, along with plenty of spray paint, but overall it looks to be a sturdy unit. One item in particular that stood out are the prototype cranks that Merritt are working on. Based off the photo, which you can find below, it looks to be a beefier 22mm crank that has square arms with rounded edges which is ideal for grinding. Not too much info on the cranks, but with Interbike about a month away and October being a popular month for brands to release new products, we would imagine more info on these isn’t too far out. Volume Bikes – Limited Edition “Pool Shark Splatter” Cerberus Frame

The splatter colors have been real popular these days. It looks like Volume Bikes have released a very limited edition run of this “Pool Shark Splatter” color on Jason Enns‘ signature Cerberus frame. There are only 30 of these that will be available through BMX shops and mail-orders that carry Volume Bikes worldwide, so if you’re interested make sure you hit them up ASAP to get your hands on one.

The Cerberus frame is made from full 4130 chromoly with a 75.25-degre head tube angle, 71-degree seat tube angle, 11.7″ bottom bracket height, 8.75″ standover height and 13.5″ – 14″ chainstay length. The frame featuures a double butted front triangle with gussets on the top and down tube, 7mm thick investment cast drop outs with build in chain tensioners, removable seat stay brake mounts and an integrated seat post clamp. The “Pool Shark Splatter” Cerberus frame is available in 20.8″ and 21″ top tube lengths, a weight of 5 lbs. even (20.8″) and a $329.99 price tag

Product: Subrosa – Battle Fork II

Is it time for a new BMX Fork? Looking for something you can count on when you’re dropping in or about to take a big drop? The Subrosa Battle II Fork might just be what you’re looking for. The 2nd version of the Battle fork is made from 100% post-weld Deathproof heat-treated 4130 chromoly with a one-piece CNC machined streerer tube with a 5mm cut line and integrated headset race. The fork legs are fluted, butted, oversized and tapered wit larger radiuses to give you more clearance for 2.40″ tires. You can find 6mm thick Investment Cast 3/8″ dropouts with a 30mm offset for strength and a 6061 hard anodized alloy compression cap and an anti-rust ED coating under the paint to wrap things up.

The Battle Fork II is available in black, chrome, matte purple and matte blue with a weight of 36.1 oz. and a price tag of $145.99 – $155.99 dependent on color!

Stress BMX – Pavel Parfenchuk Video

It’s crazy how good the kids are these days! Stress BMX sent through this video of their recruit, Pavel Parfenchuk, throwing down some heavy moves on the streets. This kid is only 14 years old and is a full blown grind technician! Hit play and take in some serious heat and keep your radar on Pavel. We’re sure this won’t be the last of him we’ll be seeing.

Jason Phelan Builds Up A New Bike

August 4, 2016

Jason Phelan coming through with a new video giving you a look at him building up his brand new GT Bicycles setup with he signature colorway that you can also find on his 2017 GT Team Comp Complete. Hit play to watch Jason build the bike up from unwrapping the frame, to installing the cranks, cutting down the fork and bars, learning the perks of having built-in chain tensioners and more. After he dials in the bike, Jason heads over to Prevail Skatepark for a session, but we don’t get any riding footage because that riding footage will come in the next video that should be dropping soon. Hit play and take it all in! Looks like a dialed BMX bike to us!
