Cult – ATX Side Piece

October 19, 2017

Check out some Instagram clips from the Cult Crew in Austin, Texas…

If you follow the Cult team on Instagram, you probably noticed that the team spent the last week or so out cruising spots, stacking clips for a video that we’re sure we’ll be seeing pop up online some time in the near future. They decided to take all the clips they uploaded to Instagram and whip up a quick edit giving you a taste of what the team got into. If these clips only made the cut for Instagram, we’re sure the final edit from the trip will be nuts. Until then, check out 5 minutes of footage showing you what Dakota Roche, Chase Hawk, Alex Kennedy, Chase DeHart and Sean Ricany got into!

The crew at Vans are always cooking up new and unique color combos for their classic shoes like the Old Skool that have been apart of their line up for years. Here’s a look at their new “Gum Bumper Old Skool” shoe that is exactly what you would guess from the name of the shoe. They’ve given the shoe a gum bumper on the front while keeping the rest of the outsole white for a unique look that turned out awesome.

The Old Skool is Vans classic shoe that was the first to have the iconic sidestripe that everyone recognizes and has been apart of their line up longer than most of you reading this have been around. The shoe starts out with a low top canvas upper with double stitched for increased strength and a reinforced top cap to help resist the wear and tear up front. You can find padded collars around the ankle for support, comfort and flexibility and the classic waffle pattern on the bottom for plenty of grip on the pedals.

The Gum Bumper Old Skool is currently available in Dress Blues / True White, Black / True White and Glacier Gray / True White color options and sizes of 3.5 all the way up to a 13 in the mens sizes, so they have pretty much everyone covered in sizes. They’re not hard on the bank account either! You can pick these shoes up for $55 in the Vans Webstore now. This style shoe has been a favorite in BMX for years and it undoubtedly will continue into the future.

In The Cut – 2017 FBM Ghetto King of Bert

October 19, 2017

Beer, ghetto ramps, trails and good times… The 2017 FBM Ghetto King of Bert!

Whenever FBM throws a jam, you know things are going to get wild. Between super sketchy ramps made out of pallets, all sorts of wild dudes showing up to party and guys like Mat Hoffman as a judge, it’s safe to say the 2017 Ghetto King of Bert was a success. Here’s a raw cut of footage showing you what went down from the ghetto ramps to the trails session the following day.

“FBM’s Ghetto King Of Bert weekend (that is not a typo; it’s named after a Richmond local named Bert) was a typical FBM-style comp/jam with a loose format, loose judging, and of course, wild riding and antics focused around one thing- fun. With BMX royalty like Mat Hoffman, Van Homan, and Cranman himself present, you couldn’t help but have a smile on your face all weekend long. Watch and be entertained, and take note not to miss the next one.

Division Brand – Angel Covarrubias Video

October 19, 2017

Angel Covarrubias coming through with a short but sweet video for Division Brand!

Check out this fresh BMX video from Division Brand‘s newest recruit, Angel Cavarrubias, who we aren’t too familiar with. This video is a clear indicator that he’s got some solid moves out on the streets and isn’t scared to put his pegs to heavy use. Check out what he cooked up over the course of a few filming missions!

“I knew Angel had potential from the day I met him. I watched him grow into one of the best riders in his group. Eventually he got hungry enough to hit me up about filming a video. At the time he was still in High School in LA so we’d meet on weekends which allowed him time to relax in between filming sessions and recover from some pretty rough crashes. Angel really went in on this and I hope you enjoy.” – Chris Bracamonte

Here’s some news that we have a feeling a bunch of you guys saw coming! Colony BMX have given Chris James the bump up to their PRO TEAM. Chris has been on FIRE for 2017 dropping some insanely dialed riding at a bunch of contests all over, so it was something that makes a ton of sense. It’s official now and Chris shows you just why he’s been given the bump up in this welcome video that is no stop bangers from start to finish! This is a MUST SEE for sure.

“We are stoked to announce Chris James now being PRO for Colony. If you’ve ever met Chris you know he is a solid guy who can handle a bike in a very special way (by going as big as possible on everything he hits). This is Chris’s welcome to Pro video that we filmed in just a few sessions recently around a few of his favourite parks in QLD.
