Chase Davidson – 2021 Year In Review

January 14, 2022

If you follow Chase Davidson on social media, you know the guy is ALWAYS on the move, getting into something. Here’s a video recapping his year from sessions on his bike to exploring, snowboarding, fishing and more. It’s safe to say despite 2021 being another weird year, he made the most of it. This one doesn’t have a ton of BMX, but it’s still a real good watch.

“With another year gone and dusted, that means I’m back with a brand new Year in Review showing a bunch of my personal favourite highlights and memories I was able to capture on video from the year 2021.

This year didn’t have quite as much international travel as years past since I veered slightly by returning to school in order to finish up my Bachelors degree of Business in Tourism after an 8 year hiatus. All in all, another great year to look back upon!

January 13, 2022

The Planetary internals have been an absolute game changer for freecoaster hubs, and there’s been a bunch of brands utilizing it for their own version of the hub design. Colony BMX have released their Swarm Freecoaster that utilizes these internals. Here’s a video where Clint Millar takes the hub apart to give you a detailed look at the internals and how it all works. Hit play and take a closer look!

“In this video we give you a very detailed insight into the inner workings of the Colony Swarm Freecoaster BMX hub which uses the planetary coaster internals. Any questions feel free to leave in the comments and we’ll do our best to answer.

The Colony Swarm Freecoaster Hub is our newest FC hub utilising the ground breaking Planetary coaster internals from the guys at Freenight. It has the weight of a cassette, very minimal slack with an almost instant engagement when pedalling forwards. Yet you have all the good properties of a FC hub when rolling backwards with no engagement or the need to back pedal. These are the best FC hubs available on the planet hands down.

Please Note: If pulling apart the hub, do not add grease or lubricant! These hubs need to be run dry.

RHD & LHD versions.

Has the feel & performance of a cassette hub with all the good properties of a free coaster hub when rolling backwards. It’s a hub with best of both words of cassette & free coasters.
Supplied standard with plastic hub guards for both sides.

Male Axle only.
9T driver only.
36 hole only.
All spare parts are available if needed.
PCD drive side is 58mm.
PCD non-drive side is 49mm.

When lacing this to our Colony Pintour/Contour rims in 3 cross, use 182mm spokes on drive side and 184mm non drive side.

January 13, 2022

Nik Ford is hitting a big milestone in 2022, and to celebrate, he has a brand new video filmed over the last year and a half from street spots to skateparks, trails, warehouses and more. As always, Nik brings a good mix of tricks with quite a few gems we don’t see all too often! Hit play and check out what 25 years of BMX experience looks like!

“2022 is my 25th year riding BMX, I had no idea when I started this journey just how far the road would go. Even with all the twists and turns along the way, I still love it as much as I did on day 1.

I’ve put this edit together with clips I filmed over the last 18 months to celebrate, here’s to the next 25!

Music – ” Born to Raise Hell ” by Motorhead.” – Nik Ford

Wethepeople – Nick Halisheff Welcome Video

January 12, 2022

Wethepeople have added Nick Halisheff to their lineup up in Canada! Check out his welcome video where Nick shows his ability to ride anything he comes across from street spots to skateparks! Nick is clearly not scared to send it, either! Hit play and take it all in!

“Wethepeople proudly welcomes Canadian all-and-everything rider Nick Halisheff to the AM Team.

Probably the first time you’ve seen a 900, a pocket air and a tailwhip gap on street all in the same video right? Nick rides everything and rides it with power and style. Nick’s been on a tear the past few years, constantly travelling, riding and putting out videos. We recognised the work ethic and how much Nick shreds day-in-day-out and made the decision to give Nick the bump up and join our already stacked AM Team. Can’t wait to see more from Nick in 2022, it’s gonna be a good one…
