Whenever I think of when I first remember seeing something from Volume or Demolition, I think of about 8 years ago or so when a guy was at the local trails on a Dinosaur frame. The guy was really good, and I was at that point where I was convinced riding a certain part or frame would be what made you good. I was only 12 or 13 at the time, but that’s okay.
A lot of things have changed since then. Frames no longer weigh more than me, I’ve accepted riding a certain part will never automatically give me tailwhips, and that if a brand is doing something right, they will continue to exist. With that being said, it was time we did a little catch up with Brian Castillo about the happenings over at Volume and Demolition these days.
Lahsaan Kobza Interview
Lahsaan’s name has been popping up quite a bit lately. Whether it was the news about him joining the Skeleton Crew or the multiple web videos he has had part in. Lahsaan has been on it. I wanted to find out some more about him, so I shot him a couple of questions and let him and Tammy mix it up a bit to make it work for him. Then I got some amazing shots from Josh Hayes to go along with it. So check out what Lahsaan is all about, and some of his recent videos, then leave him some love in the comments!

Baco-A-Ho-Ho-Ho

I’m sure you have seen this flyer floating around lately. It’s for the Baco Jam that is going down at 4Seasons December 18th-20th. I’ll be making the drive on over to Wiscompton to partake in the festivities. If you haven’t had the chance to attend a Baco then you haven’t been to a contest. The last one I went to had a mother/daughter stripper team and 9 state patrol at the party. It was awesome! So, you will probably see me running around taking photos, bugging people and being a dumbass in general. Get stoked.
Review: The Take Road Trip DVD

Last summer The Take team took a trip from California to Utah and ended up putting together a full-length video to show what went down on the trip. I had a chance to preview the video last July but just got the finalized video a few days ago. I’ll see if I can make this sloppy for Alex…

BMXunion Facebook Page

I figure with every other brand and website creating a Fan page on Facebook that I might as well, also. It took like 5 seconds and it’s a slow Saturday. So if you are into BMXunion and are into helping out the cause… HIT THIS LINK and become a fan. If you aren’t a fan, it can be used for a place to talk shit on me. It will be fun, minus the fact that you won’t be anonymous.
Review: Ride BMX’s Range of Motion

Ride BMX recently released their newest video titled “Range of Motion” for the world to see. The video is based on three trips featuring some of the best riders in the business and taking them to some amazing trails, cement parks, and street spots. Alright, obvious enough… Here’s what it’s really all about.

Wyatt Kreel Interview
I could probably write a book about Wyatt. I’ve been waiting to do this interview for quite a while just to make sure it was deserved and not a favor. I’ve known Wyatt since I was in 7th grade or so. The first time he showed up at the skatepark our buddy yanked his snap on wind pants off, and it became very clear he was down with bikes ever since. I’ve watched Wyatt learn a lot of tricks over the years, roll through mud after falling on rails, and I’ve even had to bear hug him from mutilating a guy for blowing smoke in his face. Shit, I’ve seen him throw people in bushes just to get them to leave us alone. We have gone on plenty of trips, and is definitely my favorite person to ride with. I finally decided it was time to get him a little love, and to use a bunch of the photos I’ve been holding on my computer for a while. Check out what he has to say, and then let him know how you feel about his tattoo’s when you are done.
