BMX UNION

I didn’t really see anybody to talk to about the Federal stuff. I am still way into their new frames they have out already. I don’t know what else to tell ya. Looks good is all I can say.

Rich Hirsch has a lot of stuff going on these days. He is involved with a lot of stuff and it is awesome. I stopped by his Lotek/Fremont booth and it was actually tiny compared to the rest of the companies. He put it best “I like it simple.” That works for me.

Eastern always has something awesome going on. There are far too many kids who talk way too much shit on the company and it is stupid. They are just trying new things, and trying to progress BMX. There is a photo below of a fork with a huge cut out in the legs. Why? Well, Leigh had asked me to tell you guys it is a new prototype. Why? Because it would be funny. Infact, it was just to show what kind of tubing it is. They have some really cool new things in the works and I am excited to see where that goes this year.

My very first custom built up bike was a Macneil Ruben. Yeah dude! That frame was and still is amazing. It was pretty cool to stop by the booth to meet Jay, and Harrison. I am really into the things they got going. I guess they want to expand into racing, and just anything related to bikes except for road and mountain bikes obviously. So I expect a lot of interesting things to come from them as time goes on.

Dave Jacobs is awesome. It was a lot of fun partying with that guy. I stopped by the Micreation booth and checked out the photos. Dave said they will have a new video out similar to the ones where you paid for access, but actually on DVD this time around. Should be good.

Since We The People and éclat are the same thing just different brands I would put them together. I was really into the Chester Blacksmith frame “Sleepless”. I read the other day some e-thug talking bad about how “éclat has no products, it is all talk”… Well, hate to burst your bubble those photos they had out months ago were real. The stuff looks awesome and it should be available soon!

Kink has been kicking ass lately. Their team is stacked, they got a whole bunch of new product out this last year. Now, this is what Interbike had for us. A Sean Sexton prototype frame that should be out real soon, and some sweet new updates to their complete line. Also, the new Safety First video will be out in November so that will be even more amazing. They had a copy but I couldn’t talk them into letting me sneak a peek.

I don’t know how many of you know this, but Darryl is one of my favorite riders ever.

Fit had a lot of really good stuff this year. There new completes are looking amazing. Along with that, the Dakota frame/fork is real good. The fork threw me off because it’s got some really small tapered tubes but they are really strong. Also, they got some prototype plastic pedals, and the usual good stuff they got. Eat it up.
