You can check it all out over on the Unclicked Buzzsprout page since it’s not embedable. This is just under an hour and a half of pure goodness.

“On this episode of Unclicked we have Pro BMX rider Nathan Williams. Nathan is a video part god and a good friend so I’ve wanted him to come on the podcast since the beginning. DIY BMX Worlds 2019 – Whipsnake

July 15, 2019

The 3rd stop of the FBM X DIG DIY World Championships went down at the Whipsnake park out in the Carolina’s the other weekend. Despite some rain that kept things moist, it looks like everyone was able to get plenty of riding and good times in. This one looked more like a camping trip with friends than a contest, and that is what makes this so good. Hit play and take it all in!

“Deep in the cut of the US Carolina pine forests, completely off the grid and removed from normal society, sits a DIY/artist Shangri La of sorts, known as Whipsnake.
Built by underground DIY champion Tom Risser, this low-key spot showcases acres of his eclectic metal sculptures and this homemade concrete wonderland…

Miles from anywhere, and conveniently located right in-between somewhere and nowhere, we posted up for a weekend campout, for stop 3 on the FBM X DIG DIY World Tour, enduring mosquitos, coyotes, hundred degree weather, intense summer storms, and believe it or not, no phone service. Pack it in, pack it out, bring what you need, and leave with what you brought, minus a gallon or so of sweat, some blood, and whatever was inside the cooler…

Places like Whipsnake are wildly different than pre fab local parks, and most public spots, primarily known by word of mouth, amongst people in the ‘know’, places like this are hallowed ground for riders who build their own spots to ride, whether it’s a ramps, a set of trails or DIY concrete park, spot building and maintenance adds another layer all together to the riding experience, and Whipsnake is pinnacle to that whole idea.

Build your own fun , throw a jam, bring the people together and share it with everyone… – Steve Crandall

Kanode Knows – Ryan Chadwick

July 14, 2019

If you’re a fan of podcasts or video interviews in general, you’ll be real stoked on this one. Bobby Kanode sat down with filmer and all around good dude Ryan Chadwick to talk about a bunch of things like his X Games Real BMX 2019 video he filmed with Simone Barraco, making the decision to try out working outside of BMX and stepping down from his roles as TM and filmer for The Shadow Conspiracy, making the move back into BMX as a freelance filmer and much, much more. This is a real good listen, especially if you’re into filming or the industry side of BMX as a whole. Hit play and take it all in!

“Ryan Chadwick is a freelance videographer from Tempe, AZ. He’s won NORA Cup for the Shadow ONE video, an X-Games Silver medal with Simone Barraco in the 2019 REAL BMX Video contest, and he’s produced several full length BMX videos, including: I Got Work, I Got Work Strikes Back, and Shadow’s epic video What Could Go Wrong. We sit down in his beautiful ass house and talk about stuff. Thanks for watching. Hope you enjoy!

Leave a comment if you read that whole thing.” – Bobby Kanode

Diego Bravo “I Eat BMX”

July 14, 2019

It’s always rad checking out a video of a rider you have never heard of, and the dude absolutely shreds. Here’s a fresh one featuring Diego Bravo going to work on spots galore out in California putting his pegs to heavy use, sending it on some drops and more! Hit play and get familiar!

“I met Diego Bravo almost two years ago when he first moved to SoCal from a small town in Ecuador. Since then I’ve watched him go from doing his first ever handrail to doing smiths, feebles and rail rides that some pros won’t even step to. Sadly, we decided to cut filming shot due to some injuries, but I hope you enjoy our last years worth of efforts as I present to you, Diego Bravo, I EAT BMX.” — Keegan Bohannon

Shawn Shimkets ‘Murica Jam

July 14, 2019

It’s always rad to see what’s going down in Shawn Shimkets‘ backyard trails setup out in California. Over the years we’ve seen footage from the place, but it looks like it keeps getting more and more dialed! Hit play to check out highlights from the ‘Murica Jam, along with some insight from Shawn on what it takes to keep that place rolling!

“Shawn Shimkets has been building up his backyard into his own personal paradise for several years. A few times a year, he sends the invite for everyone to come meet up, have some beers, and enjoy all his hard work. I did a straight-forward riding edit from his halloween jam for Ride last year and this time, I felt like riding for a majority of the day, so I kept it simple this time around and just filmed a few clips (after I ate shit, haha) and got some words from Shawn about his spot. Into this format? Not into it?” -Ryan Fudger / Our BMX

DIY Detroit or Bust

July 13, 2019

DIY spots are a lot like trails. They can be there one day, and gone the next. Some of the crew up in Detroit recently spent some time cruising at a DIY spot before things got shut down. Check out a bunch of clips featuring a handful of familiar faces and a few new ones going to work on the setup they built inside this abandoned building.

“How does the saying go? “As one door closes, another one opens”… Well, that’s exactly what happened to the Detroit scene when their DIY park got the wrecking ball treatment… kinda. Soon as one was gone, another DIY was born, only to be shut down once again. Luckily the crew managed to a couple of days fun before it was all over. Dylan Thayer explains more…” – DIG

“End of April 2019, word was out that one of the local DIY parks in Detroit was closing/being demolished. Meanwhile, some homies found a covered spot (this) which was possibly going to be the replacement location. With it already having a few things already built inside, seeming like a prefect new location for a new DIY beginning. I decided to start filming some riding, hoping to catch some attention of more people to be involved. When unfortunately police stopped by and gave the boot explaining not to come back because the city literally just built a Bike/skate Plaza down by the river side. (which is one of the few things i’m working on currently) So this is everything filmed in the first and only two days at what we thought was going to be the new DIY spot.” – Dylan Thayer
