Kink BMX – Crosscut Frame

Check out the new Crosscut frame from Kink!

Is it time for a new BMX frame? Get a look at the brand new Crosscut Frame from Kink BMX. This frame is made from full 4130 chromoly tubing with a double-butted top and down tube, gussets on the top and down tubes, an investment cast chainstay yoke for tire and clearance up to 2.55″ and 25 or 28-tooth sprockets. The frame has a 75.5-degree head tube angle, 71-degree seat tube angle, 9.25″ standover height, 11.6″ bottom bracket height and a 12.5″ chainstay length (slammed). The frame also featured an internally and externally machined bottom bracket, integrated seat post clamp, removable brake mounts and integrated chain tensioners on the laser cut dropouts!

The Crosscut frame is available in Black ED, Gloss Coral and Matte Slate Blue in 20″, 20.5″, 20.75″, 21″ and 21.25″ top tube lengths for $349.99 through BMX shops and mail-orders that carry Kink worldwide now, or direct from the Kink Webstore!

A Look At How BMX Frames Have Changed In 15 Years

With how dialed BMX bikes have become over the years, it’s pretty crazy to look back and see just how much BMX frames have changed over the years. Mike Fede decided to dig into his stash of old frames spanning the past 15 years to look at just how much they have changed over the years from bearing styles, weight, geometry, designs, materials and heat-treating. This is a really cool look back for the older riders, and probably a pretty crazy thing to see if you are new to BMX and don’t know how we got to where we are these days with the quality of BMX bikes in a fairly short period of time

United – Caveman V2 Frame

It has been a bit of a dryspell as far as new and interesting products go lately. We haven’t seen anything too exciting as of late (at least that we have been tipped off to) and it’s good to see something pop up for a change! United have announced that Mike Escamilla‘s signature Caveman frame has been brought back by popular demand for a limited Caveman V2 run! Much like the first version, this frame definitely stands out from the norms of 2020 and has a throwback look to a classic Wilkerson Airlines frame from way back, and it looks awesome. New Kink 2020 Frame Colorways

The other day we got a look at the new Travis Hughes Signature Cloud Frame from Kink, now we’re getting a look at the new colorways that they have released on the Nathan Williams signature frame, Backwoods frame and Titan II frame! The Williams frame now comes in new Tomahawk Red and Bone colors, the Backwoods comes in Burnt Orange and Muted Crest colors, and the Titan II frame has new Gotham Blue Fade and Muted Lemon colors! Flybikes – Larry Edgar 2020 Aire 2 Promo

Flybikes coming through with a fresh video featuring Larry Edgar putting his signature Aire 2 frame to work at a park out in California! This one is short, but very sweet. As always, Larry delivers with some real dialed riding with plenty of speed, style and boost! Hit play and take it all in.

“When Larry Edgar drops in, you know you’re going to see something wild. Larry’s ability to go insanely high, along with a ton of style, always makes for a good watch! When you go that big all the time, you need a frame that can hold up to the riding! The Larry Edgar signature Aire 2 frame was designed to let him blast without having to worry that his setup can handle it!

To help reduce the weight of the frame, we’ve gone with new tubing specs and a new 6mm. dropouts to help reduce the overall weight without sacrificing any of the strength. We’ve also made a few changes to give more riders options. The 2020 Aire 2 frame comes in a smaller 20.8” size that also utilizes a shorter 13” chainstay length to go along with the original 21” and 21.8” sizes that have a 13.8” chainstay length. Also, Larry requested that we change things up from the M8 style mounts to the EBS style mounts to make it easier to switch between brakes and brakeless riding.
The Aire 2 frame features internal and external gussets, multi-butted and tapered tubing, an Investment Cast seat post clamp with the Horizontal Cut System, removable EBS style brake mounts and Investment Cast Dropouts with integrated chain tensioners!

We’re not sure where Larry got the boost button installed, though.
