Odyssey BMX Grandstand Pedals Red Plastic

The Tom Dugan signature Grandstand PC pedals from Odyssey are now available in RED! Odyssey BMX – Twisted Pro Pedals

March 23, 2017

Let’s take a closer look at the new Twisted Pro Pedals from Odyssey!

Odyssey BMX Twisted Pro Pedals

Here’s some news we’ve been waiting to see since our first look during our trip to Frostbike back in February. Odyssey have released their new Twisted Pro Pedals! The original Twisted PC Pedals haven’t really had any changes since their inception in 1997, beyond the countless color options. Not too many products have been around for this long without any major changes, which is a good indicator that they work well. With riders looking for slightly bigger pedals these days, Odyssey decided it was time to offer a modernized version of the pedals to accommodate for some of the needs of riders in 2017.

The Twisted Pro Pedals are still made from the same high strength plastic composite with the same look as the original, loose ball bearings and a chromoly spindle, but feature a larger body with a 104mm width and 98mm length. The original Twisted PC pedals have a 98mm width and 89mm length. This increase gives you more room for your feet and an increased concave for more grip, along with a slimmer profile. The Twisted Pro pedals feature 12 oversized molded pins per side versus 16 on the originals, but the increased size and concave helps reduce the need for as many pins.

The Twisted Pro pedals are available in black — Odyssey will be adding colors into the mix soon — and weigh in at 14.6 oz. These pedals are available through BMX shops and mail-orders that carry Odyssey worldwide starting now.

Don’t worry! The Original Twisted PC Pedals will still be available and continue to be manufactured well into the future.

Eclat – Seeker Pedal

November 8, 2016

eclat-bmx-seeker-pedal-bike

Is it time for a new set of BMX Pedals? The crew over at Eclat have released their new Seeker Pedals for those of you who prefer a plastic pedal. These pedals start out with an injection molded nylon and fiberglass body with a wider body than most other pedals that is also thinner than the average pedal. You can find 14 molded pins and knurling on both sides of the pedal, along with a few Eclat logos for good measure. One thing you might also notice is the pedal is flat from side to side with a small concave, where most pedals feature a bulkier center to accommodate for the axle and bearings.

Inside you can find a chromoly axle and a dual bearing and bushing combination that allows the pedal to maintain strength without having too much bulk.

The Seeker pedal comes in colors of black and Army green with a weight of 15.97 oz. Available through BMX shops and mail-orders that carry Eclat worldwide now.
