September 18, 2017

Leading up to the Battle of Hastings this year, Source BMX had Brian Kachinsky redesign their Plaza section for all the pro riders to enjoy! Here’s two videos for you to check out. The first one shows you all the pros like Garrett Reynolds, Alex Donnachie, Chad Kerley, Corey Martinez, Nathan Williams, Dan Lacey, Aaron Ross and more going to work on the new setup. The second video features Brian Kachinsky talking about what went into the design and how he made it all happen being across the pond in the U.S while the plaza is in Hastings, England!

“SourceBMX Battle of Hastings Plaza are edits dropping every Friday at www.sourcebmx.com/bohplaza. The riding these guys managed to pull together in just 1 hour is off the hook. Heres just a sneak peak of what to expect.

The Plaza Sessions: Each team picked two riders to film an edit in the Source Park Plaza. The riders were given just 1 hour to come up the edit which counted towards their team score. Filmed by Rich Forne and Will Stroud – edited by Peter Adam.” – Source BMX

“We were honoured to have Brian Kachinsky design the new Source Plaza for us! With Brian’s deep heritage in riding and designing his own Bakery parks we new he would come up with something incredible. Check out this short about the design process and what went in to the new Source Plaza for Battle of Hastings.

Plus if you fancy riding this set up head down to Hastings, UK and check it out. More info here: www.sourcebmx.com” – Source BMX

The other day we took at the latest Aaron Ross Marana Vulc colorway, now today we’re going to check out Nathan Williams‘ latest color on the Etnies Jameson Vulc for Fall 2017. This time around Nathan decided to go with a “Dark Grey and Black” color that almost looks more like a Navy Blue color from the photos we have seen.

The Jameson Vulc starts out with a suede upper with a silver logo, black with grey tags and round shoe laces, along with a matching fabric tongue. This shoe also features a lower toe vamp giving it a low profile and sleek look. Down below you can find an egg crate Midsole construction with a Vulcanized outsole that uses the RCT tread pattern on the bottom that’ll give you plenty of grip on the pedals. Inside you can find a recycled open cell PU foam insole that uses Etnies STI Foam Lite 1 technology to give you plenty of cushion for comfort and shock absorption.

The Nathan Williams Fall 2017 Jameson Vulc colorway is available now for $64.99 on the Etnies Webstore and through BMX shops and mail-orders that carry Etnies worldwide now. You can also pick this shoe up on Amazon as well.

X Games 2017 – BMX Street and Park Practice – Raw

July 20, 2017

Take a look at some raw clips that were filmed last week at X Games during BMX street and park practice…

Last week was the X Games in Minneapolis, Minnesota and some of the best BMX riders in the world were there to throw down on the street course, bowl, mega ramp, vert ramp and dirt jumps. Unfortunately unless you have special clearance, all you can film is practice. Here’s a mix of raw clips from a little street and skatepark practice. Check out riding from Garrett Reynolds, Chad Kerley, Ty Morrow, Devon Smillie, Broc Raiford, Sean Ricany, Dakota Roche, Simone Barraco, Dan Lacey, Colin Varanyak, Nathan Williams, Dennis Enarson, Gary Young, Larry Edgar, Logan Martin, Kyle Baldock, Kevin Peraza, Daniel Dhers and Pat Casey.

This was all filmed during one or two practices, so there’s definitely some riders we missed out on and there’s definitely some shaky clips. Also, the mic was acting up for some of the street action. Sorry about that!
