Atlantis Vancouver – Jordan Hango “Spyglass” Section

November 26, 2017

Whenever you see Jordan Hango’s name pop up, you know things are going to get real crazy, real fast.

It’s always a good day when some Jordan Hango footage pops up online. Today his section from the Atlantis Vancouver “Spylass” DVD surfaced online and it’s damn good! Jordan has the ability to crush everything in his path from rails and ledges to wallrides, big gaps, stair sets and more. This is a great watch from start to finish, so get on that play button!

““Spyglass” is the second full-length release from the Vancouver, B.C. based bike shop Atlantis Vancouver. Situated on the west coast and packed with an incredibly talented scene of locals, Vancouver is kind of like Canada’s Los Angeles. Filmed and edited by the talented local lensman Andrew Schubert (who also has an amazing section), this video is a raw and real representation of BMX riding with your best buds, and it’s all shot on the trusty VX so you know it’s crunchy.

Jordan Hango holds down the ender section with a deep bag of savage moves, from absurd setups that are way too steep, to near decapitation in one clip. Jordan is the truth.” – Ride BMX

E-Log – Fiending With Cinema

November 22, 2017

Check out this raw cut of footage from the Cinema and Fiend SoCal tour…

When you load up a van with the Fiend and Cinema teams, you know things are going to get crazy. Here’s a raw cut Ride BMX whipped up giving you a look at some of the riding and good times that were had, plus some words from the guys on what went down.

“I met up with the Cinema and Fiend squad as they cruised the streets of San Diego for a couple of days while on the #cinemaisfiending tour. Hit up a couple of demos, rode some spots, talked some shit…pretty much a typical BMX trip as they gathered clips for the now released “Escape To The Cinema” mixtape that you should watch right here.” – Ride BMX

TALKING POINTS

AWAKE FRAME – Ed’s second signature frame. WTP took the original frame geometry with the 13” backend and raised the standover to 9” and gave it a new super sleek hourglass head tube which is taller so you don’t have to run spacers. The frame also has new 7.5mm thick invest cast dropouts with removable chain tensioners. The dropouts are deigned to fit flush with the
pegs and hub guard. Frame will be available November 2017 and is backed up by a LIFETIME GUARANTEE.

BATTLESHIP FORK – New super strong street fork with 6mm thick invest cast dropouts and a shorter 24mm offset to help with nose manuals. Designed to fit plastic pegs and hub guards easily. This is a crazy strong fork and will be also backed by a LIFETIME GUARANTEE. Available November 2017.

REMOTE GRIP – New flangless grip from WeThePeople using a special new super soft rubber. Grip is longer than most and uses our new Nylon bar ends.

PATHFINDER SPROCKET – Felix Prangenberg’s signature sprocket is much thicker than your average sprocket (8mm) so holds up to heavy street riding abuse. It has 9 points of rotation, so it lasts a long time. Available now.

LOGIC WHEELS – Ed is riding WTP’s new complete wheels using the new Logic RIM which is the first rim on WTP and uses a wider and taller design to make them rigid and resistant to street riding and sideways impacts. The Logic wheels include WTP’s Supreme front hub and Helix freecoaster and include two nylon hub guards—meaning you can bolt them on and get straight to work without purchasing anything else. Available November 2017.” – Ride BMX

5050 BMX Spotlight

November 6, 2017

Anyone that loves BMX will enjoy this look at what the 5050 BMX shop has going on…

It’s always rad to get a look at how different shops do things and just getting an idea of what their direction is. Ride BMX caught up with 5050 BMX‘s Eddie Buckley to learn a little bit about the shop and what it has grown into over the years. This place looks amazing and it’s safe to say it has done a lot for the BMX scene in the Utah area. Take a look!

“In many ways, 5050 BMX is the local shop we all wish we had. Of course they’re fully stocked with the latest product, but they’re also fully staffed with knowledgable riders and the owner, Eddie Buckley, is one of the most genuine, friendly people you’ll ever come across. 5050 has also managed to establish one of the best shop teams in the history of BMX, produce a NORA Cup winning video, service the greater Utah area with a dialed mail-order, and establish a show team that gets kids psyched on BMX on a grassroots level. We sat down with Eddie to discuss all things 5050…” – Ride BMX

The Demolition team is stacked and both of these places always lead to amazing riding, so you know you’re going to want to hit play and enjoy this one!

“The Demolition team has always had a heavy list of all around-riders, and with boss man Brian Castillo making the team picks, it proves that the apple really doesn’t fall far from the tree. Demolition recently got local SoCal team riders Dennis Enarson, Pat Casey, Matt Cordova, Tyler Fernengel, Kris Fox, Andrew Lazaruk, Parker Heath, Dallas Dunn, John Wadlund, and friends Nathan Sykes, Larry Edgar, and Heath Pinter together for two days of shredding. They turned up the desert heat at FOD and kicked it with the Casey’s for two days of riding, chilling, and good times.” – Ride BMX

Pat Casey VS The Fakie Cash Roll

November 2, 2017

Watch Pat Casey battle it out with the Fakie Cash Roll… This is madness.

As if the Cash Roll wasn’t hard enough, Pat Casey decided to do it fakie on his Backyard Ramp Setup for his latest Dream Yard 3 video that came out a little while back. Anyone that’s watched Pat ride knows he has flips in both directions on lock, but this is a whole different level of crazy. Check out this raw cut giving you a look at all the attempts that it took. This one hurts to watch, but he gets it done and it’s amazing.

“This is an in-depth look at the epic battle that Pat Casey had with the never been done fakie cash roll that closed out his recent Monster “Dream Yard 3” video. 34 BRUTAL attempts left Pat bloodied but not defeated. Sometimes this is what it takes to achieve great feats. Respect for Pat Casey.” – Ride BMX
