Heavy Session At The New Vans Training Facility

What happens when Dakota Roche, Bruno Hoffmann, Kilian Roth, Gary Young, Dan Lacey, Andrew Castaneda and Anthony Perrin get together for a session? Plenty of amazing riding and good times. The crew recently caught a session at the new training facility located inside the brand new Vans headquarters out in California. Here’s a raw cut of footage giving you a look at what went down!

“Vans moved the whole operation to Costa Mesa recently, and with that move came a lot of life improvements…the most epic of them being a little private ‘training facility’ that the employees and pro riders can call their own at any time of the day or night. Before the Vans Street Invitational kicked off, we organized a little (but insanely heavy) session with some of the Vans squad including Dakota Roche, Bruno Hoffmann, Kilian Roth, Gary Young, Dan Lacey, Andrew Castaneda, and Anthony Perrin.

Hope you enjoy the raw cut; finding cleared music that isn’t horrible, so I figured this was the best way to go. Besides, I think it tells the vibe of the session pretty well.

During a recent trip to California, Felix Prangenberg linked up with Dan Kruk for a session at a skatepark. Here’s a look at what went down as these guys put in some work on the ledges, rails and transitions the place had to offer. You better believe both of these guys cooked up some wild riding.

3D Printed BMX Seat Post

Jonny Lee 3D printed a Pivotal seat post for his bike…

It looks like Jonny Lee has decide to try his hand at 3D printing a Pivotal seatpost for his bike. This one might not seem super complicated, but it ended up taking a few goes before it worked out the right way. Hit play to see some footage from the printing process, along with some riding footage he got in after he got the post on his bike. It’s a fairly basic part that doesn’t see a ton of abuse, but does get some wear and tear when riding, and it looks like it held out fine.

It’s always a good day when there’s an email from Andy Maguire in the inbox! Here’s a new one he just put together that is 20 minutes of footage from the crew out in Santa Cruz riding spots, parks and trails over the course of the past 4 or so years. This features Andy, Dusty Sampson, Reed Zirjacks, Jacob Hyde, Jake Honesto, John Bennett, Guy French, Tyler Compari, Jordan Murdock, Ryan Finn, David Schimmel, Mario Alonso, Dimitri Huizar, Murph Dawg and Bob Randel cruising and having a good time on their bikes. “A fresh start is always a great feeling. Most of this footage is from now back to last September, but a good portion of Dusty’s section is 4 years old. Luckily, he has a timeless style, which will still be rad even 831 years from now. The trail jam is from Halloween last year, so it’s not customary for people to dress up like Wayne’s World or the Hamburglar and get weird in the woods.
