Volume Bikes – 2018 Sledgehammer 26″

Over the years, a number of brands have dabbled in bikes of different sizes from 22″, to 24″ and 26″, cruisers, fixed gears and more. Mostly because most people that ride BMX and make BMX bikes are into other styles of bikes, too. Maybe it’s the “older crowd” being more open to other options out of interest or even need. We’re not sure, but Volume Bikes have done a few 26″ bikes over the years and it looks like they have stepped their game up for 2017! Here’s a look at their brand new Sledgehammer 26″ bike that they’re currently taking pre-orders for that mixes 26″ with some subtle BMX style features. This bike starts out with a unique frame that has a 23.75″ top tube length, 71-degree head tube angle, 73-degree seat tube angle (good luck nose manualing this thing and 15.75″ chainstay length. You can find an Integrated head tube, gussets on the top and down tubes, integrated seat post clamp a Mid bottom bracket and the same paint color as the DeMarcus Paul War Horse frame. The bars have a 6.8″ rise and 33″ width with Volume VLM grips and a Volume Staple V2 top load stem to hold the front end together. Here’s what the rest of the bike is decked out with…

Colony BMX – 2017 Versatil Frame

The new 2017 products from Colony have arrived. Here’s a look at their new Vesatil frame that is their new team frame designed for riding ramps, street and dirt. This frame is made from full 4130 chromoly tubing with a 75-degree head tube angle, 71-degree seat tube angle, 11.5″ bottom bracket height, 8.8″ standover height and a 13.3″ (slammed) chainstay length. You can find features like a 117.5 mm tall, heat-treated, integrated head tube, gussets on the top and down tubes, tapered top and down tubes, a heat-treated Mid bottom bracket, integrated seat post clamp, a wishbone on the seat stay, tapered seat and chain stays, clearance for 2.40″ tires, 6mm thick, heat-treated dropouts with integrated chain tensioners and removable brake mounts with Investment Cast brake tabs.

The 2017 Versatil frame comes in 20.8″ and 21″ top tube lengths, colors of black and Azure grey (Victor Salazar signature colorway), weighs in at 5.22 lbs. (21″) and has a price tag of $319.99. You can pick this frame up through BMX shops and mail-orders that carry Colony worldwide now.

Emre Keskin Mini Clip 2016

Emre spent his time cruising his local skatepark and a few street spots for this one, bringing a mix of tricks from grinds to stretched out no handers and more. Marco Gunther On Radio Bikes

Radio Bikes have added Marco Gunther to their line up in Germany, through Hartje Distribution. We haven’t seen a ton of footage of Marco, but it sounds like he’s a rider you will want to keep an eye out for. We added in an older video of Marco we had in the archives to give you an idea!

Most importantly Marco has a positive attitude and the super friendly personality which makes him fit right in there with the rest of the crew.

Game of F.L.I.P – Johnny Raekes VS Dylan Moore

The Common Crew just dropped this new Game of F.L.I.P between Johnny Raekes and Dylan Moore, which is basically a game of B-I-K-E, except every trick needs to have a crankflip in in to make things interesting. Check out what went down and who was the winner!

“Since the first day they met, Dylan and Raekes have been playing these intense games of F.L.I.P on flat ground. As I watched in amazement at how many variations they could do in just a regular old parking lot I realized it would make a pretty interesting game if we threw down some change, hit the skatepark and filmed the whole thing. Both of them have ridiculous mastery of this trick making for a hard fought battle that lasted over an hour. But only ONE can be crowned the crankflip king.”

“UPDATE 10/20/16
The last few days have been deep recovery for Scotty after going through the successful back surgery. As excited as we are to get him to the recovery stage it’s going to take a little time for sure. Thankfully we have three great rehab facilities competing to earn his care and they are all great options for many reasons. We have been waiting on Neuro and Plastic surgeons to determine a date for Scotty’s next surgery and it appears that all will be ready by this Monday. Scotty is excited for this to be completed as the skull fracture is actually hindering his ability to breath through his nose. Scotty won’t be cruising through any metal detectors soon as the surgery will include some hardware.

All in all things are moving exceptionally quick and we have been several steps ahead, every step of the way. Because of the knowledge that we bring to the table at R2R we see Scotty getting a lot of great attention when it comes to everyone involved, doctors in multiple departments, nurses, social workers, case workers, insurance, multiple rehab facilities and all their departments, air transport companies, you name it! They all know the name Scotty Cranmer and we have their support!

Scotty Cranmer – Behind the Scenes Boost Mobile Commercial

Remember a while back when Scotty Cranmer and Big Boy were flown out to California for a commercial? If you follow the channel, there’s a good chance you know what we’re talking about. Well, today that commercial started airing on TV and they were allowed to release their behind the scenes footage from the shoot for everyone to see. Above is the video Scotty and Big Boy made, below you can find the actual commercial that came from all that filming and then below is the spot that Boost did on Scotty which you also see a bit of in Scotty’s video above.
