There’s a new Q&A up on the Demolition Parts website with Christian Rigal where he talks about all of his filming projects for Demolition and United, his section in the United DVD, working on filming outside of BMX on corporate jobs and more. It’s definitely an interesting read, so check it out right here — What’s New with Christian Rigal
Demolition Parts – Christian Rigal 2015 Video
One thing we know about Christian Rigal is that he puts a lot of pressure on himself to film the best he can and he won’t put out a BMX unless he’s really stoked on it. Today, Demolition Parts released this new video where Christian crushes street spot after street spot with all four of his pegs. This is one BMX video you cannot pass up!
“This year Christian has been working on multiple projects at the same time, and when he came to us with the idea of doing a new Demolition edit also, we were a lil hesitant if he could pull it off or not. When we finally saw the end result, we just about sh*t our pants. The man is a machine on and off his bike. How he came through with such a banger edit is beyond us. For him to get this done and have it this heavy is insane. If you like insane/ original grinds moves and more, you’ll love this one!

It’s pretty rad seeing how riders are able to balance out multiple roles in BMX these days. Christian Rigal is a perfect example of that who is one hell of an amazing rider, but he’s equally as dialed on the other side of the lens as well. There’s no doubt that you’re a fan of his riding, his film work or both. With that being said, between riding and filming, Christian is constantly on the move working on projects from his section for the new United DVD “Still United” section to getting his new RED Scarlet Dragon camera dialed in. We haven’t caught up with him in a little while, so we figured now would be a perfect time to catch up with him and see what’s new! There’s some Markit news that we’re especially excited about… Check it!

Red Bull – The Big Rig Holiday
Here’s one from Red Bull that we have been waiting for all week! They recently piled a unique crew of riders together in an RV for a trip around the Northwest to hit up street spots. Watch as Nathan Williams, Reed Stark, Alex Kennedy, Corey Martinez, David Grant, Christian Rigal and Matt Roe all go to work on spots with their different styles making some some amazing riding. That rail that Reed Stark does is absolutely UNREAL. It looks like he took a serious beating but didn’t let the rail win! Hell yeah, Reed!
“The great outdoors… and I’m not talking about the leafy industrial estate out of town with the awesome rails that you don’t get kicked out of. I’m going on about forests, waterfalls and one hell of a big rig ploughing its way through the great Pacific Northwest!
The great outdoors… and I’m not talking about the leafy industrial estate out of town with the awesome rails that you don’t get kicked out of. I’m going on about forests, waterfalls and one hell of a big rig ploughing its way through the great Pacific Northwest!
The plan was simple, well, to be honest it was non-existent; take eight friends, both old and new, meet up in Portland, Oregon. Then pile everyone into a 40-foot-long RV and see what happens!
The heavily-laden RV consisted of a pretty eclectic list of names, including Nathan Williams, Reed Stark, Alex Kennedy, Corey Martinez, David Grant, Christian Rigal, and Matt Roe.
The ‘plan’ was so loose that we hadn’t even decided on which direction to take.
After some deliberation and many blank faces we set the compass for south and headed for Salem and Eugene and possibly some of the smaller towns along the way. We soon realised this was probably the worst idea we could have come up with…
Driving an enormous recreational vehicle into small peaceful towns with eight dudes hanging out of every window obviously didn’t go down too well, let alone help with finding spots and being able to ride them long enough to film a clip! Needless to say, we encountered our fair share of small town cop mentalities and bafflingly idiotic reasoning. But despite that we got some pretty amazing bike riding documented in between our troubles, and Reed got his crazy 180-degree curved rail in Eugene, so it wasn’t all in vain.”
“Markit Zero” Crash Section
When you go as hard as the Markit team does, you’re bound to take some nasty crashes… Especially while pushing yourself for a video part. That was definitely the case for their entire team while filming for the “Markit ZERO” DVD! Watch Dennis Enarson, Chad Kerley, Christian Rigal, Rob Wise, Connor Lodes, Geoff Slattery, Ronnie Napolitan and Mike Jonas take slam after slam after slam to get the clips that made the video so epic! BMX makes you tougher than nails from all the ass kickings you take, that’s for sure!
“This is by far one of the heaviest crash sections you are ever going to see! The crew took a beating for MARKIT ZERO. We had to make sure the BMX world got a behind the scenes look into what it really took to create this DVD. Get ready for over seven minutes of raw, savage falls for your viewing pleasure.

Haro – “Take The Risk” in Malaysia
Haro recently dropped Dennis Enarson, Tyler Fernengel, Mike Gray and Matthias Dandois in Malaysia for some time to explore the spots, meet the locals and experience the culture! Needless to say, these guys had a hell of a good time and this video Ride dropped shows just that! Hit play and take it all in!

“I’d been to Malaysia back in the early 2000’s. It was one of those trips where I saw three things: the airport, the hotel, and the contest area. I always wanted to go back to explore, and a decade later, the lure of a pro contest in a tropical country in Southeast Asia had me looking into tickets. Now was the chance!
As team manager, I become responsible for a lot of things. I have to design a trip. Who to take? Where to stay? What if it rains the whole time? I see the whole trip unfold in my head a thousand different ways well before we even board the plane. I have to do a lot of research before I purchase those tickets…I can’t have this trip fail, and heading to a place that no riders really visit is pretty risky. But, at least the event would take up most the time anyway…
First dudes on the trip were Mike Gray and Tyler Fernengel. They both joined the Haro team earlier in the year and it was their turn to hit the road. And as a bonus, they are young and inexperienced travelers that I hoped to introduce some culture to and give them a trip to remember. Matthias Dandois has traveled the entire world over and over again, but I was surprised to hear he had not yet visited Malaysia. Matthias is such a unique rider and he’s a positive guy to be around—he was coming for sure. Finally, Dennis Enarson got the call. We all know Dennis can ride any terrain, but he gets an automatic invite just for being the amazing person he is. We needed a filmer. After picking the crew, only one guy came to mind to join us and that was Christian Rigal. It’s invaluable to have a filmer the crew knows personally. And, the filmer is carrying around a heavy bag all day, filming try after try for sometimes hours, missing meals, getting dehydrated, and while we all enjoy the sunset, the filmer is usually getting a time lapse shot in and then has to stay up late logging footage. They are long days on the road and I knew Christian could handle the job as well as have a good time with us.” —Colin Mackay
