Moving on down to the Fly Bikes booth. Kevin Porter was manning the booth with the aid of Dave Leep. Similar to last year, this was kind of the designated location for everyone to come chill and b.s. The booth was loaded up with goodies as well. So, let’s take a look…

Frostbike 2011: Eastern
The next booth over was the Eastern booth. It’s always pretty funny when those guys are around. They’re always talking about their prototype plastic hubs, frames, and other nonsense that some of you would probably believe was true if I actually let them talk about it to you. It’s not true, but what is true is that they had a bunch of goodies at their booth to check out. Let’s take a look…

Frostbike 2011: Odyssey
Yesterday was a doozie. I made my way up to Bloomington bright and early to make it to QBP’s Frostbike. The day was filled with talking with the different BMX brands QBP carries about product, along with a lot of other things that were less than business talk, which is more than expected/needed to make the day move.
I made the first stop at the Odyssey booth where I found Nuno Oliveira hanging out and slanging goods to the shops who were in attendance. Don’t worry, he was far from the zombie look he has in the photo due to all the coffee floating around. As expected, there wasn’t much for “new” (in relation to Interbike new), but there were still a few new things that were on the table like the two new colorways and a few other goodies. So, let’s take a peek…

Frostbike 2011
Brian Osborne taming the Cobra at last years Frostbike.
Tomorrow morning I will be making the drive up to Quality Bike Products distribution in Bloomington, Minnesota for their annual Frostbike. Frostbike is similar to Interbike, but on a much smaller scale, and only open to the brands they carry and the shops they distribute to. Each year the event has grown, and it sounds like this year will be the biggest Frostbike in its history.
I’ll be making my rounds at all of the BMX booths such as Odyssey, Shadow Conspiracy, BSD, DuFFS, Profile, Eastern, Sun Ringle, Fly, Stolen and some other brands. Since it’s smaller, I will be able to spend more time at each booth (unlike Interbike where it’s constant go, go, go just to hit every booth in 3 days) and hopefully get some information out of everyone about what’s going on since I’m sure things have changed a bit since September. I’ll be dropping photos and info over the course of the next few days… so get ready!
Frostbike 2010: EYEbmx
EyeBMX is a new brand that you should be hearing more about in the coming weeks and months. Erik Engstrom is the head of the project though another race brand. Erik had the prototype Eye Q (get it?) frame out to show off and let people know about what’s coming. Check out some closer photos of the frame and expect to hear more right here on BMXunion soon!

Frostbike 2010: Profile Racing
If you have ever had the chance to meet Charlie from Profile, you would know he’s a real good dude. He was taking care of business at the booth for them. Also, it was his birthday… at least that’s what we told the Mongolian restaurant during the BMX dinner. That was a good laugh. But yeah, check out some photos from the Profile booth!

Frostbike 2010: Odyssey
I’m always stoked to check out what Odyssey has going on. Even though they premiere anything new at Interbike, it’s always cool to catch up. Nuno was handling the booth like last year so it was cool to see him as well… Check out a few pictures!

Frostbike 2010: Stolen Bikes
The next stop over was the Stolen booth. I forget the name of the guy due to my bad memory who was doing the booth, but he was a real rad dude. Stoked to meet him. But yeah, take a look at some photos…
