Garrett Reynolds Props Bio Redux

January 6, 2017

Yesterday Props uploaded Garrett Reynolds’ Props Bio from Issue 75 online. They also released this Redux video that’s a remix of the actual part, loaded with second angles, crashes and more that didn’t make the cut for the full part. It’s hard to imagine some of these clips not making the cut, but apparently it happened.

“A re-edit of our Issue 75 Garrett Reynolds Bio that includes some clips and angles that didn’t make the cut first time around. We also threw in a few crashes and some harsh attempts just to show Garrett put in the hard work needed to make an unforgettable part.”

Props BMX – Garrett Reynolds Bio

January 5, 2017

Props dropped a classic online today for your viewing pleasure! The year was 2010, Garrett Reynolds was riding for Premium, him and JJ Palmere were rocking zebra print from time to time, Garrett had some long hair and was absolutely CRUSHING it out on the streets (shocker, we know). This originally appeared in Issue 75 and it’s crazy to think that this video came out way back in 2010 and how insanely good it still is in 2017. Banger after banger after banger. This is an absolute must see for everyone!

Also, Props uploaded a 2nd video filled with B-Roll, Crashes and more that you haven’t seen yet! Watch that below!

“What can you say about Garrett Reynolds except that he absolutely kills it. This Bio from Props Issue 75 shows Garrett at his best.”

Props BMX – Chad DeGroot Baco Throwback

June 22, 2016

Props dropped this short but sweet throwback to some of Chad DeGroots classics from the Baco days. This has some flatland, antics, lake jumping and laughs. Take a look!

“A few weeks ago Chad asked me to help put together a little mashup of him to feature for his Decobmx day on Instagram, which was today.

Had the idea for a “Greatest Hits” theme and designed a record label, then filmed it on the turntable for the intro. Nothing too crazy, just a 60 sec little thing made up of some classic Baco footage of Chad going back to the early to late-90s. Damn good times we all had.

The song was featured in the Baco 7 credits from 1996, thought it was a cool throwback.” – Chris Rye

Props BMX – Issue 6: Dave Mirra Interview

February 5, 2016

Since the news broke yesterday of Dave Mirra’s untimely death, there has been a bunch of older footage of Dave surfacing online. Props BMX uploaded their old interview with Dave from Issue 6 that came out just over 20 years ago for you to check out. We’re sure a number of you might have never seen this one, but it’s definitely one you’ll want to see.

“RIP Dave you’ll be missed.

We shot this along the Daytona Beach, FL boardwalk during the Play “Contest of Love” weekend in the winter of 1995. Dave was 20 years old and had just gotten over being hit by a car on his bike. He was on the rise to become the icon he is today.

Props – Brooke’s Farewell to Glenn Salyers

November 27, 2015

If you caught our interview with Chris Rye from Props a few weeks back, you would have heard about a video project he was working on with the late Glenn Salyers‘ girlfriend, Brooke Betancourt, as a tribute / farewell to Glen who we lost last summer. This video gives us a little perspective from Brooke on their relationship, her thoughts on him and riding from both of them. Definitely one you need to hit play on. Rest in Peace, Glenn!

“In the summer of 2015 we had planned to shoot a video with Glenn Salyers and his girlfriend and fellow BMX’er Brooke Betancourt. Unfortunately Glenn died in a tragic motorcycle accident (it wasn’t his fault) before we could start shooting. About 2 months after the accident, Brooke mentioned she wanted to put together a mini-documentary about the whole ordeal, their relationship, her feelings and where she might go from here. Needless to say, we offered to help. The resulting documentary is called “Brooke’s Farewell”. RIP Glenn, only the good die young brother.
