It would appear that Chris Moeller caught everyones requests to see more of how BMX products are made. The other day he posted up a clip of how knurling is added to handlebars, now today we get a look at how they bend the tubing for an S&M Bikes or Fit Bike Co. fork. It seems pretty simple, but it’s still pretty interesting to see since we don’t always get to see the production side of BMX. We want MORE!!!

How Knurling On Bars Is Done

Have you ever wondered how knurling on the bars or really any other part on your bike that might utilize this technique to keep your shit from slipping? Well, Chris Moeller posted this quick video clip of them getting the process done on a set of S&M Bikes or Fit Bike Co. bars in their warehouse in California. If you’re a product nerd like us, this stuff is awesome to see.

Product: S&M Bikes – Dark Roast C.C.R Frame

S&M Bikes have released a new colorway of the Clint Reynolds signature C.C.R frame for you to get your hands on. The Dark Roast C.C.R frame is made right here in the U.S.A from 4130 chromoly tubing with a 74.25″ head tube angle, 71-degree seat tube angle, 11.61″ bottom bracket height, 9″ stand over height and a 13.9″ chainstay length. The frame features an engraved Shovel slogo on the integrated head tube, a gusset on the down tube, a Mid bottom bracket, welded cable guides with an internal seat tube guide and welded on chainstay brake mounts, an integrated seat post clamp and smaller 3/8″ drop outs.

The C.C.R frame is available in 21″, 21.25″ and 21.5″ top tube lengths, colors of Dark Roast, chrome and flat clear coat raw, a weight of 4.45 lbs and a price tag of $369.99. This frame also comes with Shield stickers and a Credence stencil for you to customize to your liking.

S&M Bikes have released a fresh new color for their popular ATF frame for you to get your hands on — Lemon Zest Yellow. This frame is made from butted True Temper SuperTherm tubing with a 75-degree head tube angle, 71-degree seat tube angle, 11.7″ bottom bracket height, 8.5″ stand over height and a 13.4″ – 13.875″ chain stay length. You can find gussets on the top and down tube with an embossed S&M Shield logo, a MID bottom bracket with the EZ-out punch slots, an integrated seat post clamp, wide rear triangle for 2.40″ tire clearance, removable brake mounts and 4Q-baked 14mm drop outs.

The ATF frame comes in top tube lengths of 20″, 20.5″, 20.75″, 21″, 21.25″, 21.5″ and 22″ with color options of Lemon Zest yellow, matte black, clear coat raw, translucent green and translucent red with a weight of 4.65 lbs. It is currently available through BMX shops and mail-orders that carry S&M Bikes for around $354.99!

Product: S&M Bikes – Shredneck Stem

In the BMX world, top load stems have definitely taken over with the demand for higher bars. Although they might not be as popular as they once were, the front load stem still gets a lot of love from all over the world. S&M Bikes wanted to make sure you front load stem lovers were still getting some love, so they have released the latest version of their ever popular Redneck stem for you to get your hands on. The Shredneck is CNC machined from 6061-T6 aluminum with a 50mm reach and 7mm rise (24.75mm inverted). The stem features a clean look all around with beveled edges, a slim back to keep it knee friendly, an internal bore to help reduce weight, multiple laser etched S&M logos, a recessed top for a flush fork compression cap and 6 solid chromoly bolts to keep it all tight.

The Shredneck stem is available in raw and matte black with a weight of 11 oz. through all BMX shops and mail-orders that carry S&M Bikes for around $59.99 now.
